Mrs. Ida Frances Belt Edwards, the oldest daughter of Cleveland and Effie Belt, was born November 2, 1922, in Meridian, Mississippi.

Ida attended the Indianapolis Public Schools #17 and Crispus Attucks High School.

She was a meticulous housekeeper and loved tending her flower garden, Bar-B-Queing her finger- lickin� ribs, baking cakes, pies and her famous mouth-watering yeast rolls.

In November of 1946, Ida was united in Holy Matrimony to William Dawson Edwards, Sr. He preceded her in death. She was the mother of eight children, two of which died at birth.

Mrs. Ida Frances Belt Edwards departed this life on Friday, May 21, 2010, at the age eighty-seven years eight months and nineteen days. Her parents; a brother, Albert Belt and sister, Frankie Belt preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters, Vivian Edwards, Frankie Marie Pinner, Sandra Rachaun Edwards and Gwendolyn Willene Winters; two sons, William Dawson Edwards, Jr. and Brian Eric Edwards; nine grandsons, Mark Steven Moore, Craig Eugene Pinner of Oxnard, California, Corey Eugene Pinner, Larry Renault Winters, Shawn Evett Edwards, Aaron Renault Winters, Benjamin Renault Winters, Mitchelle Edwards and Kyle Edwards of California; four granddaughters, Jennifer Winters, Leslie Winters, Ericca Edwards and Michelle Edwards; seventeen great grandchildren; one sister, Willa Rasdall; one brother, William Vaughter; a cherished caregiver, Mrs. Olivia Johnson, a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
