Mr. Thomas Henry Jones, Jr. was born December 2, 1957, the son of Thomas Henry Jones, Sr. and Rosa Lee Woodard Jones. He was the third of seven children. At an early age in life he professed a hope in Christ and was baptized at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. As an adult he changed his membership to Phillips Temple C.M.E. Church. Thomas attended Indianapolis Public School #63 and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1976. Thomas was known in his youth as a Golden Gloves boxing champion. He was coached by the famous "Champ Chaney" Although Thomas was once employed in maintenance at Three Fountains Apartments and the Chrysler Foundry, his true calling was as an entrepreneur. He pursued this passion with various ventures including becoming an independent contractor, renovating older homes and even owning and operating a restaurant called "Creations of Fine Foods". Thomas's uncommon generosity touched many people throughout his journey. He loved to share a laugh and good times with others. A loving son, father, grandfather and brother, Thomas quietly went home with the Angels on Tuesday morning, June 15, 2010, at the age of fifty-two years six months and twelve days. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas H. Jones, Sr. and a son, Aaron Jones. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Rosa Lee Jones; four sons, Thomas "TJ" III, Dorrin, Tevin and Deonte' Jones; granddaughter, Madison Jones; brother, Anthony Jones; sisters, Sheila Anthony, Beverly, Valarie, Daphne Jones and Stephanie (Ronnie) Barlow; aunts, Juanita Johnson and Velma Williams; He will also be missed by a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
